Afterburner Ring

These Ultra-Power afterburner rings are the first thrust nozzles based on emitter technology in the market. Specially manufactured aluminum core PCBs for this application is what makes the assembly of the high-performance emitters and the required heat dissipation possible. In addition, one cooling duct behind every emitter is adhered to dissipate enough heat during operation. Without any further air cooling, the rings can be operated permanently ca. 1-2 minutes and therefore, the mixing to the gas channel should only happen in the upper section.
The light output of the emitter rings is very high and even visible in an area of >120° to all sides of the ring. Thus, it will directly shine into the outlet and into the nozzle, which strengthens tremendously the effect of a glowing pushing rod.
Direct operation with 2S (8V) Lipo. Please ensure sufficient cooling air during operation. The high power requirement of the afterburner rings requires sufficiently dimensioned batteries and an efficient control. Please see recommended controller.
This ring is delivered with a 1m/0.5mm silicon cable. A second cable can be soldered on if needed. For a better light distribution, you can use the nozzle attachments listed further below.

Afterburner Ring EDF

The short Ultra-Power afterburner rings are based on the same emitter technology and on the specially manufactured aluminum core PCBs, but waive the cooling ducts to save size and weight. They have a lower performance in order to enable normal operation for the model. This is basically implemented by a purposely thin cable. The rings may only be operated permanently for about 1 minute and therefore, the mixing to the throttle should only happen in the upper section. Since a too high ambient temperatures should be avoided, these rings are specially suitable for EDS systems and score with the low weight.
The light output of the emitter rings is very high and visible in an area of >120° to all ring sides . Thus, it will directly shine into the outlet and into the nozzle, which strengthens the effect of a glowing pushing rod tremendously.

Light-Spreader Nozzle, 3D

The enormous light output of the emitter allows the individual illuminated dots to melt rapidly. Through the translucent 3D printed ring attachment the harsh light of the afterburner rings is strongly refracted and distributed over the surface. The attachment shape is inspired by a nozzle and produces a glaring element instead of a flat ring.
